Default load, and how to turn it off
This site loads Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra advertising by default. A first visit does not wait for an Accept click: the analytics tag, the session-replay tag and the ad scripts are requested as the page opens. The cookie banner is a notice with a withdraw button, not a gate in front of the page. Choose Reject and the site stops analytics, session replay and ads, records that choice for 180 days, and does not load them again on later visits. Accept keeps them on. Cookie settings in the footer reopens the banner at any time. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track are treated as Reject.
The YouTube player is the one exception to the first-paint rule: the page shows a still image and creates the player only after you press Play. Once you press it, YouTube loads under the terms below.
Google Analytics 4
Measurement ID G-BKLLFGE6ZZ, in the game_websites Google Analytics account. GA4 records page views, approximate location derived from the request, device and browser type, referral source, and interactions such as outbound link clicks. It does not receive your name or email from this site. Google may use the data under its own terms. We do not publish a property retention setting because it has not been independently confirmed. The banner records an explicit Accept or Reject; a first visit requests the tag with analytics_storage granted and the three advertising permissions denied. Accept updates those permissions; Reject sets all four to denied and reloads without the tags.
GA4 may set _ga and _ga_BKLLFGE6ZZ to distinguish visitors. Google documents a default lifetime of two years for these GA4 cookies; browser restrictions and property settings can shorten it. You can refuse these with Reject, block them in the browser, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
Microsoft Clarity
Project z8t9xh8hu4. Clarity records heatmaps and session replays so layout problems and broken links can be found. Inputs in form fields are masked by default, and the site does not put passwords, payment details or account data into a page Clarity records. Clarity sets _clck (one year), _clsk (one day), CLID (one year), ANONCHK (ten minutes), MR (seven days), SM (the browser session) and, on Microsoft domains, MUID (one year). Session recordings are kept for up to 30 days; aggregated heatmaps for up to one year. Reject withdraws Clarity consent and reloads without the recorder.
Adsterra advertising
Publisher 3403020, website 6177278. Two formats are in use: Native Banner, unit 32105247 (NativeBanner_1), placed inside the article flow; and Social Bar, unit 32105248 (SocialBar_1), the fixed strip at the bottom of the viewport. Adult ads are switched off at the website level and this site does not request them. Adsterra and the advertisers it serves may set cookies or similar identifiers under their own domains, including bicea.org and the creative hosts they choose, to cap frequency, measure a view and detect invalid traffic. The ad response can involve additional creative hosts and partner identifiers; their names and retention depend on the response and are not claimed as fixed values here. Adsterra's own privacy policy is at https://adsterra.com/privacy-policy/. Reject removes the ad scripts and the fixed strip, then reloads without requesting them.
The Social Bar can be closed with the × button on the strip. That choice is stored in localStorage under lod_socialbar_closed and the strip stays closed after a reload until you clear site data. Reject turns ads off entirely for 180 days.
YouTube
A video page embeds a YouTube player from www.youtube.com only after you press Play. YouTube may then set VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE (about 180 days), YSC (the session), PREF (about eight months) and CONSENT (up to two years), and receives your IP address and the page you came from. Google's privacy policy applies: https://policies.google.com/privacy. Reject does not stop a player you deliberately start after choosing Reject; that request is yours, and the player's own controls apply.
What is stored on your device
| Key | Where | Purpose | Retention | Basis |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| lod_consent | localStorage | Remember Accept or Reject for analytics, Clarity and ads | 180 days | Your choice, stored so the banner can stay dismissed |
| lod_socialbar_closed | localStorage | Remember that you closed the fixed Social Bar | Until you clear site data | Your choice, so the strip does not return on reload |
No other first-party cookie is set by this site. Clearing site data for legendofdefenders.org removes both keys; the next visit is then a default-on first visit again.
Your rights
- Access, correction, deletion, and a copy of mail you sent us.
- Withdraw consent at any time with Reject or Cookie settings; the withdrawal applies from that click and is remembered for 180 days.
- Ask us what analytics or ad data can be connected to you. We do not hold an account for you, so most of it is aggregate or held by the vendor under its own policy.
- Complain to your local data-protection authority. We will still answer your email.
- The site is not directed at children, and it does not ask for a date of birth.
Advertising choices elsewhere
You can limit personalized advertising from many vendors at Google Ad Settings (https://adssettings.google.com), the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out (https://optout.aboutads.info), the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out (https://optout.networkadvertising.org), and Adsterra's privacy policy (https://adsterra.com/privacy-policy/). These are industry-wide controls; they do not remove every ad.
Mail and server logs
If you email [email protected], the message is kept long enough to answer and to keep a correction. Do not send passwords or payment numbers. Mail is not used to build an ad profile. You can ask for a copy or for deletion of that correspondence. The host keeps standard request logs for security and abuse handling; they roll off on the host's normal schedule and are not joined to the analytics or ad identifiers.
Changes
This page lists every third party the pages load: Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, Adsterra and YouTube. If a vendor or a format is added or removed, this page is edited in the same change and the date above moves with it. The banner text and the stored key names are part of that edit, not a later patch.

Questions
Does the site load ads and analytics before I click Accept?
Yes. A visitor with no stored choice is treated as granted, so GA4, Clarity and Adsterra load as the page opens and the banner explains that. Reject is the switch that turns them off for 180 days.
Do you sell personal data?
No. The site does not sell a contact list and does not upload the consent key. Adsterra and its partners run their own ad auction under their policies.
How do I change my mind?
Use Cookie settings in the footer, then Accept or Reject. Reject stops the current page and stores denied for 180 days.
How do I close the bottom ad strip?
Press the × on the Social Bar. That is stored as lod_socialbar_closed in localStorage and the strip stays closed on later visits until you clear site data.
