Builds and element synergies
There is no level cap on heroes in the studio's own pitch. The 14 Aug 2026 playtest post says heroes can level without limits and that auto battle keeps them growing. A store screenshot of Mag Ranger at a five-figure level matches that pitch. It does not mean every hero scales the same way. No post publishes a per-level table.

What is safe to copy
- Fire and ice: the 30 Oct post describes the Cryomancer and the Fire Tree turret together, ice and fire on the same screen, coins coming in. The dedicated page stays with that sentence and does not add a damage spreadsheet.
- Solar Turret: same post. It buffs enemy attack and HP for more coins and experience. That is a greed toggle, not a support aura for your heroes.
- Talent board tip, visible on a screenshot: at least one physical hero and one elemental hero, for 10 percent physical and 12 percent of that element. Quote it as on-screen text.
- Placement: the 29 Oct post says not to restart over a half-tile miss. Team mix matters more than perfect squares, according to the studio.
Poison, still a section and not its own page
Bog Demon and Toxmaster are poison-tagged names on the hero table, and a public guide talks about damage-over-time teams. I do not have a second independent source that names a specific poison pairing and an effect. Until that exists, poison stays a named element on the hero rows, not a build guide. I would rather omit the page than invent a rotation.

Captains sit in their own slots. Ice Captain is the one a patch note describes, via the skill name Frost Hammer Shock. Sun God and Toxic Blood are also in studio material. I am not assigning them as "best in slot" for a damage type. The tier page explains the grouping I am willing to publish.
Questions
What is the best build in Legend of Defenders?
The only combo a pre-launch post walks through is Cryomancer with the Fire Tree turret. Other elements have names. They do not yet have a second source for a specific team.
Do heroes stop leveling?
The playtest announcement says they do not. A screenshot shows a very high Mag Ranger level. No post prints a cap for hero levels. Castle level is a different number and was raised to 150 in a playtest note.
