Heroes and captains

The table below has 22 hero names and, under it, 6 captain names. That is the set with a written description I could attach to a source on 5 Nov 2026. It is not a Steam census. A second guide spells additional heroes (Frost Bone, Glacier, Zap Dancer, Automancer, Bloom, Trial Master) that are absent here. I am not folding them in until a second source uses the same spelling.

Mag Ranger is the clearest row. The launch news puts Mag Ranger in the Supporter Pack, and a store screenshot shows the hero panel: 5 stars, a very high level, lightning-themed skills on one reading. A second guide calls the element ice. The row keeps lightning and records the conflict instead of averaging the two.

Captains

Captains are a separate tab on the roster screenshot, next to Hero, Turret, Cannon, and Gem. Sun God, Toxic Blood, and Ice Captain are named in studio news (the day-one hotfix adds the missing text for Ice Captain's Frost Hammer Shock). Zeus, Archangel, and Frost Beast are on the public guides. A "Solar" captain is mentioned once and is not a row.

Recruitment is mostly the tavern line on the hero rows, which is why that column repeats. The 2 Oct demo note says two guides were added so players could get a captain after the captain slot unlocked. It does not list the captain names. Rarity letters are blank: players have asked what the letters mean, and the studio posts checked here do not define them. One guide marks Ice Angel as SSR. That stays inside the row as a single-guide note, not as a column I filled for everyone.

Questions

How do I get heroes?

Most named heroes are described as tavern recruits. Mag Ranger is also in the Supporter Pack. The screenshot roster is the in-game list, not a web catalog.

What is a captain?

A roster tab of its own. The day-one patch names Ice Captain. The 2 Oct demo note says the captain slot needed an in-game guide so players could obtain one.
