Is Legend of Defenders worth the sale price?
On 5 Nov 2026 the Steam store showed 87 percent positive from 303 reviews, and a 30 percent discount from $14.00 to $9.80 in the US. I would buy it at that sale if I wanted a single-player idle tower defense and I was willing to leave it running. I would not buy it for co-op, a phone, or a story campaign. Those things are not in the store record.

What the public record supports
- The pitch matches the tags: tower defense, idler, incremental, pixel graphics, auto battler, single-player. News posts repeat auto battle, a boss key, and no microtransactions.
- The studio said 15,000 copies in the first 24 hours. That is their number, dated 3 Nov 2026. A player count I saw while reading public stats the same week was 8,216 at one moment. Both move. Neither is a quality score.
- Metacritic has a PC page and, on 5 Nov 2026, no critic reviews and no user score. I will not invent one.
- One creator video is titled as a warning and frames a 6 out of 10. That is one person's score. Steam's 87 percent is a different instrument. I am not averaging them.
Where I would hesitate
Roster facts are still messy three days after launch. Two guides disagree on hero names, turret counts, and what the number 130 means on Red Dragon. If you need a solved wiki before you play, wait. If you like watching a castle number go up, the screenshots show exactly that loop: a high wave, a mine, a talent board with hundreds of points on one save. The day-one patch list is long for a game that had been in demo for a month, including a Deck save bug. Steam's standard refund policy covers requests within 14 days of purchase with less than two hours played.

The video on this page is Dabble's "PURE DOPAMINE" upload, not the studio's launch trailer. I use it as a look at the battlefield. I do not treat the title as a verdict. The studio trailer sits on the Steam app page.
